It was in the smallest of the three islands (Comino) that we could fall in love with the Blue Lagoon, a strip of water with a special turqoise colour, to be visited, at its best, from late Spring to October. In fact in Winter (low season) boat connections with the island are scarce. Do not miss St May Tower, the largest coastal tower ever built buy the Knights.
Always looking for relax and peace (not for nightlife), you can rest in the charming island of Gozo: its landscape is picturesque with a capital, rabat, also referred to as Victoria.
Gozo is also home to the oldest neolitic temple in Malta, practically still intact notwithstanding its age (over 5600 years) and still worth a visit is Calypso’s cave, which Homer mentioned in his Odissey.
Gozo offers several beaches, scattered around the island (well known is Rambla Bay) and, in Qwejra scuba divers will find a most beatiful spot to explore.
A real holiday in Malta, Gozo and Comino is easy to organize and so close to Italy…
